Electric Daisy Carnival is a multi-city electronic music festival. Founded in 1997, the main EDC event originally took place in locations around southern California until 2011, when it moved to the Las Vegas Speedway. In 2001, EDC began to expand to other cities, and through the years it has hosted events in Austin, TX; Dallas, TX; Aurora, CO; Chicago, IL; Flushing, NY; Orlando, FL; and San Juan, PR. Creator Insomniac Events is also co-producer of the Electric Forest Festival held in June in Rothbury, MI.
