As they do most summers, Dave Matthews Band will spend summer 2016 on the road, performing for tens of thousands of fans across the country on a tour that will span four months. Launching on May 11 at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, KS, concertgoers will see the band perform two full sets at each show on the 47-date trek. Coinciding with the band's 25th anniversary, stops on the massive tour include the Gexa Energy Pavilion in Dallas, PNC Banks Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ, Molson Canadian Amphitheatre in Toronto, and the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA. The tour's last stop will consist of three nights of shows at The Gorge in George, WA over Labor Day weekend.
DMB has also announced that they will take a break from touring in 2017. Find your Dave Matthews Band tickets today and see the band in concert before they begin their hiatus.
The Dave Matthews Band began performing together in 1991. The group independently released their debut album Remember Two Things in 1993. It sold well enough to get the attention of executives at RCA. The DMB signed with RCA and released their major label debut Under the Table and Dreaming in 1994. It was Dave Matthews Band's own grass roots efforts and the support of the college crowd that ultimately assisted them in the success of Under the Table and Dreaming. The album reached #11 on the US Billboard charts and spawned the hit singles "What Would You Say" and "Satellite."
Under the Table granted the band immense popularity, but it was Dave Matthews Band's 1996 sophomore effort Crash that shot the group into the mainstream. With hits like "Crash Into Me" and "So Much to Say," the Dave Matthews Band saw their album debut at #2 on the charts, achieve multi-platinum status, and win a Grammy award. Dave Matthews Band's third album, Before These Crowded Streets, was their first to reach #1, and all of their albums since then have gone to the top of the charts.
On tour, the band has traditionally attracted the college crowd, who made the band popular in the 1990s by purchasing DMB tickets. The band has performed and recorded with a number of other artists such as Carlos Santana, Tim Reynolds, and The Allman Brothers Band. Don't miss the experience of Dave Matthews Band on tour.
